Scientific research makes a vital contribution to society, helping improve our health, environment and future. Valuable discoveries are made by non-English-speaking researchers across the globe; however, in order for their findings to be recognized by the academic community and the world at large, they must be published in English language journals. If their research is not published because it cannot be clearly understood, it’s as if it never took place at all.
Our team of experienced and highly skilled native English-speaking translators provide top-quality translations of research articles written in Brazilian Portuguese, making sure that the original meaning is retained whilst also ensuring that your paper can be read and understood clearly in English. What’s more, in order to maintain the highest possible standards, every article we translate is revised by a second translator at no additional cost. We also offer another round of editing free of charge to give you the freedom to make changes, write new text and have it checked by our team.
The standard rate per word for a translation is 22 centavos (cents), which includes the initial translation, a subsequent revision of the article by a second translator, a Translation and Editing Certificate, and an additional round of editing to check new text (up to 10% of the quoted word count). We also offer special discounts for first-time and regular customers, specific journals, graduate programs, research groups, laboratories and companies. A list of these can be found here on our website, or contact us for further details.
Charging on a per word basis ensures that the quote we provide is based on exactly the amount of text we translate. When requesting a quote, please attach your research article for analysis rather than merely providing a word count. This allows us to establish an accurate word count, disregarding items such as reference lists, numbers in tables, title page details etc., which do not need translating and therefore should not be included.
Terms: We require an initial down payment of 50% of the quoted price, with the balance due on completion of the translation. Please note that the article and certificate will only be sent once payment has been made in full. For international clients, payment can be made via bank transfer or Paypal (for Paypal payments, an additional fee of 10% will be added to cover the transaction fees charged by Paypal in Brazil). Clients based in Brazil can pay by online bank transfer, deposit, PIX or boleto bancario (Brazilian bank slip). For payments made by an educational institution or funding agency, payment conditions can be negotiated in line with the policies of the institution in question.
